2013 was full of success stories in California. There are plenty of impressive wines to be found and none more so than those made by Matthias Pippig and his team. We were so pleased that Matthias and Jamie found time to visit last year. Meeting them helped us gain further perspective on their wines. They challenge convention and provoke a reaction. They are wines to make you think and smile and discuss. We have had the opportunity to open and enjoy several older bottles now, each one fascinating and thought provoking. We are excited to see how these 2013s develop over time...
